Privacy / Information and choices
Privacy policy. An inquiry is not unlimited permission.
This privacy policy explains the personal information Wexumi receives through industrial innovation consulting inquiries, support chat and visits from paid advertising.

Wexumi handles the information sent to this site.
The operator and controller is Wexumi, trading at wexumi.com. We are an industrial innovation and R&D consultancy in Austin, Texas. Our postal address is 82 River Road, Suite 4, Austin, Texas 75343, Austin, Texas, United States.
This policy covers visits to the public website and the personal information used to handle its inquiries, support conversations and privacy requests. It also describes advertising and analytics consent. An industrial R&D consulting engagement can involve separate project terms; this page does not turn a public inquiry into a confidential project workspace.
The site is inquiry-only. It does not create accounts or passwords, sell products through checkout, or take payments or card data. For the scope of site use, see the terms of use.
We receive what you submit and the technical record of the visit.
The inquiry form records your name, phone number, email address, address, kind of enquiry, message, requested specification and consent tick. Phone and email are individually optional, but at least one reply route is needed. The data request route uses the same submission handler; no precise home address is required to exercise a privacy right.
With a submission, the site automatically records the IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL, the moment the form was rendered and the moment it was sent. These details help distinguish an intended request from misuse and identify how a submission reached us. Server and access logs also record technical requests needed to operate the website.
Support chat receives the conversation and any contact details supplied with it. A token stored in the visitor's browser links a returning visitor to that conversation. Chat messages are stored separately from the browser token; removing the token does not itself delete the transcript.
Browser storage includes the consent choice under site_consent_v2, essential chat continuity storage and identifiers associated with permitted analytics or advertising. Paid landing URLs can contain gclid, msclkid or fbclid. A referring URL can carry identifying information, so avoid adding private material to a link you send or share.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, identity documents or confidential plant records in a public form or chat. A brief description of the operating question is enough for an initial industrial innovation consulting inquiry.
Each record has a particular job.
Contact details and inquiry content let us respond, understand the requested work and discuss a possible engagement. A specification describes the question you want answered; it is not an instruction to purchase equipment or begin paid work. We use the consent tick to record your agreement to processing the message.
Chat content lets us continue a support conversation. The browser token reconnects that conversation, rather than identifying you across unrelated websites. The widget checks for new messages every five seconds while open; an email address supplied in chat gives us a way to reply after you leave.
Technical submission records and logs support delivery, troubleshooting and protection against automated abuse. Consent preference storage applies your decision on later pages. Where allowed, advertising identifiers and analytics information support campaign attribution and measurement of how visitors use the site. We also process privacy requests to locate records, check authority and act on applicable rights.
Consent is not the basis for every operation.
Where a law requires a lawful basis, including for visitors covered by the GDPR, the basis depends on the purpose below. Agreeing to the handling of an inquiry does not also authorize advertising storage. A request to discuss a service can involve steps toward a contract without creating that contract.
| Purpose | Information involved | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Answer an inquiry or chat | Reply details, message and consent record | Consent to handle the submitted message; steps at your request before entering a contract where relevant. |
| Discuss or administer agreed work | Business contact details and relevant correspondence | Contract where you are a party; legitimate interests in communicating with business representatives where appropriate. |
| Operate and protect the website | Technical requests, timing and access logs | Legitimate interests in a functioning, secure service and preventing misuse, balanced against visitors' rights. |
| Remember requested choices | Consent preference and chat continuity token | Legitimate interests in honoring a choice and providing a conversation you request; necessary storage rules apply separately. |
| Use ad and analytics storage | Permitted measurement and advertising identifiers | Consent where required, with withdrawal available through Cookie choices. |
| Handle a rights request | Request, verification context and response | Legal obligation where applicable and legitimate interests in documenting a proper response. |
When we rely on legitimate interests, you can object as the applicable law allows. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. It may limit the use that depended on that consent, but it does not remove an independent duty to respond to a rights request.
Paid links bring visitors to Wexumi now.
Google Ads attaches gclid, Microsoft Advertising attaches msclkid, and Meta Ads attaches fbclid to advertising links. These platforms send traffic to this site. The identifiers connect a visit to an advertising click for attribution and measurement under the relevant consent and platform rules.
A click identifier can reach our server as part of a landing URL before you choose whether to allow storage. Declining does not undo receipt of that URL. Advertising or analytics storage is a different operation from receiving the initial request, and our consent controls address that storage and the related consent signals.
The advertising section of the cookie notice describes the distinction between landing identifiers and browser storage. Platform activity outside this website is governed by the platform's own policy and your settings there.
Four signals stay denied until you allow storage.
Consent Mode v2 holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied until the visitor allows storage. The moment a visitor declines or withdraws, all four signals are set back to denied. A stored valid choice is honored on later pages.
ad_storage concerns advertising storage. ad_user_data concerns sending user data to Google for advertising, while ad_personalization controls consent for personalized advertising. analytics_storage concerns analytics storage. A denied signal does not mean no network requests occur; consent signals and limited measurement requests can still be transmitted under the relevant platform behavior.
Select Allow storage or Decline in the non-blocking banner. To revise the decision later, open Cookie choices in the footer. Declining leaves the service pages and inquiry routes usable. Essential preference storage and the continuity storage for a requested chat are separate from advertising consent.
Hosting, mail and advertising have different roles.
Information reaches the providers needed for the relevant operation. Their roles depend on the service and applicable law; advertising platforms can process information for their own purposes under their policies and are not described here as acting only on Wexumi's instructions.
- Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC provides Google Ads, attaches
gclidto a click and receives consent signals. Its information handling is described in Google's privacy policy. - Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd provides Microsoft Advertising and attaches
msclkid. Read the Microsoft privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com. - Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd provides Meta Ads and attaches
fbclidto traffic from its campaigns. Read Meta's privacy policy. - The hosting provider serves the website and stores the enquiry database. This role involves submitted records and technical access information needed to deliver and protect the site.
- The mail provider carries the inquiry notification to the operator's inbox and handles the email route used for replies.
We also respond to valid legal requirements where disclosure is required by law. An inquiry is not permission to circulate a visitor's plant records to prospective technology partners. Do not send confidential technical records through the public contact route.
Data can cross a national border.
Wexumi operates in the United States. A visitor contacting us from Europe or another country sends information into a US-based business process. Hosting, mail and advertising services can also involve processing outside the country where information was collected, including the United States.
Where transfer restrictions apply, a transfer needs a lawful route, such as an applicable adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or a permitted exception. The route depends on the recipient and processing involved; using this website is not blanket consent to waive those protections. Ask us about the recipient and safeguard relevant to your information through the data request route. Platform policies describe the international processing they carry out.
The records have stated retention periods.
| Record | Period | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiries and email copies | 18 months | Submitted inquiry records and copies delivered to the inbox. |
| Chat transcripts | 6 months | The stored conversation, distinct from a browser continuity token. |
| Server and access logs | 60 days | Technical access and request records. |
| Consent choice record | 12 months | The choice stored under site_consent_v2. |
These are the periods for this site's records, not the retention rules of an advertising platform. A valid deletion request can require earlier removal. If a specific law or legal claim requires a record to be kept beyond the normal period, we retain the relevant information for that obligation rather than extending unrelated records.
Clearing browser storage removes the local choice or chat token, not an inquiry already sent or an email copy held by Wexumi. To ask about those records, use the data request route.
A public form is not a secure project archive.
The website uses HTTPS for information in transit. Submission validation and anti-abuse checks help reject malformed or automated requests. A conversation token supports chat continuity; treat a device with an active conversation as having access to that conversation.
No internet transmission or storage system is free of risk. We do not claim a security certification or promise absolute confidentiality for public messages. Send the minimum needed to obtain a reply, and contact us promptly if you believe a conversation or submission has been accessed improperly. Do not send the suspected exposed content again merely to report the issue.
European visitors can exercise the rights that apply to them.
Where the GDPR applies, you have rights to access personal information and obtain a copy, rectify inaccurate information, and request erasure. You may also request restriction of processing, portability of information covered by that right, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, including an objection to direct marketing.
You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Rights have conditions and exceptions; portability, for example, does not require us to create technical records we do not hold. We explain an applicable exception when responding rather than treating a right as unconditional or refusing it without a reason.
Use the data request form or contact details below. You may complain to a relevant European data protection authority, including the authority where you live or work, as applicable.
State privacy rights include an advertising opt-out.
US state privacy law applies, including California's CCPA/CPRA and other state laws in force where their requirements are met. Depending on the applicable law, you can ask to know or access information, correct it, delete it and obtain a portable copy. You can also exercise applicable rights to opt out of sale or sharing and targeted advertising.
Advertising disclosures can fall within legal definitions of sale or sharing even when no money changes hands for the information. Use Cookie choices in the footer to decline advertising and analytics storage, or send an opt-out request to office@wexumi.com. We honor Global Privacy Control as described below.
You may use an authorized agent where the law allows and may appeal a denied request where a state law provides that right. We may check identity or authority in proportion to the request. We do not discriminate against a visitor for exercising an applicable privacy right. Nothing in the site terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Global Privacy Control is honored without asking again.
We honor Global Privacy Control, including the Sec-GPC header, as an opt-out of sale or sharing and targeted advertising where applicable. A visitor does not need to repeat that opt-out through a separate form. The advertising and analytics consent signals remain denied for that opt-out.
The signal is associated with the browser request. It does not by itself identify a past inquiry or delete a chat transcript, and settings on one browser may not apply on another device. For a request about an existing record, contact us with enough context to locate it.
This site is for industrial business inquiries, not children.
Wexumi does not direct this website to children and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Forms and chat are intended for people discussing industrial work or handling related business and privacy questions.
If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact office@wexumi.com so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Do not include additional information about the child in the initial report beyond what is needed to identify the issue.
You can take a concern beyond Wexumi.
You may contact your state Attorney General about a privacy complaint. In California, you may also complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency. Visitors covered by European data protection law may complain to the relevant data protection authority.
We welcome the chance to address a concern directly, but contacting us first is not a condition of using an available complaint route. Explain the processing or response you disagree with and mention a request ticket if you have one. Do not send an entire confidential project file to explain a privacy concern.
We answer data requests within 14 days.
Use the focused data request form, email office@wexumi.com, or write to Wexumi at 82 River Road, Suite 4, Austin, Texas 75343, Austin, Texas, United States. State what you want us to do and how we can reply. A name and the email or phone associated with a previous inquiry usually give us a useful starting point.
We answer within 14 days. The response can confirm action, explain a legal exception or ask for information needed to locate a record or verify authority. Verification is proportionate to the request. Do not upload identity documents through the public form; if more verification is needed, we discuss an appropriate method.
Send a data requestA changed policy carries a new update date.
We publish changes on this page and revise the effective or last-updated date at the top. Material changes are identified in the updated notice. Where a change requires fresh consent or a separate notice under applicable law, the revised policy alone does not replace that requirement.
Check the date when relying on a downloaded or printed copy. The cookie notice describes browser storage in more detail; it is read alongside this policy rather than as permission for a different use of inquiry content.
Privacy questions reach the studio directly.
Contact Wexumi about an inquiry record, a consent choice or any part of this policy. A reply may not be immediate. If the website presents an accessibility barrier, you can make the same request by email or phone rather than using a form.
